Newsletters
Newsletters allow communication through the post to residents and interested parties in the MCP. It is an important facet of this project and allows information on exploration and in the future, construction activities, to be delivered to residents adjacent the MCP.
Community Consultative Committee
The Approval of Stage 1 contained conditions requiring the establishment of a newly appointed Community Consultative Committee (CCC) for the construction and operation of the Moolarben Coal Project. Its purpose is to keep the community informed on the progress of the Moolarben Coal Project and provide a forum for open discussion between representatives of MCM, the community, Mid-Western Regional Council and other stakeholders. The CCC’s scope covers approval conditions relating to the Moolarben Coal Projects’ construction and operation, environmental performance and community relations.
The Moolarben CCC has an independent Chairperson and generally meets every 2 to 3 months.

Community Information Sessions
Residents in the Ulan, Cooks Gap, Moolarben and Bobadeen areas and persons interested in the Moolarben Coal Exploration Area have been and will continue to be invited to attend community information sessions held regularly at the Ulan Community House to discuss important issues on the MCP.
