About Us 

The Moolarben Coal Complex is situated within the Western Coalfields of NSW, within the Mid-Western Regional Council (MWRC) Local Government Area. Moolarben Coal is located near the village of Ulan, approximately 45 kilometres north-east of Mudgee and 25 kilometres east of Gulgong, as shown in the locality plan (422KB).

The Moolarben Coal Complex covers an area of about 11,000ha (110 sq km).

Moolarben Coal Operations Pty Ltd is the operator of the Moolarben Coal Complex on behalf of the Joint Venture (JV).  The JV partners are YanCoal Australia Pty Ltd (80%), Kores Australia Moolarben Coal Pty Ltd (10%), and Sojitz Moolarben Resources Pty Ltd (10%).
