Community Consultative Committee
Stage 1 of the Moolarben Coal Project required the establishment of a Community Consultative Committee (CCC) for the construction and operation of the Moolarben Coal Mine. Its purpose is to keep the community informed on the progress of the mine and provide a forum for open discussion between representatives of Moolarben Coal, the community, Mid-Western Regional Council and other stakeholders. The CCC’s scope covers approval conditions relating to Stage 1 of the Project, the Project's environmental performance and community relations.
The Moolarben Coal CCC has an independent Chairperson and generally meets every 2 to 3 months.
